Ella Estelle INGALLS [Parents] was born 23 Jan 1865 in Wisconsin. She died 9 Mar 1945 in Riverside, California. Ella married Leslie Lee WHITING. In "These Happy Golden Years" Ella and her husband are mentioned, with Laura saying, "Arthur's [Whiting] brother, Lee, was Ella's husband, and they had taken adjoining claims only forty miles away."

They had the following children:

		M	iii	Harry Jackson WHITING was born 9 Sep 1891 in California. He died 10 May 1947 in Orange Co., California.
		M	iv	Clarence M WHITING was born 21 Sep 1894 in California. He died 3 Dec 1944 in Los Angeles, California.

Alice Josephine INGALLS [Parents] was born 23 Apr 1862 in Wisconsin. She died 30 Jan 1934. Alice married Arthur S WHITING on 20 Mar 1881. Cousin Alice visits DeSmet in "These Happy Golden Years" with her husband Arthur Whiting. Laura writes, "Arthur was tall, with dark hair and eyes; he was pleasant and Laura liked him..." Of Alice, she says, "Alice was so much like Mary that she belonged in the family."

		M	ii	Jay Riley WHITING was born 1887. He died 1905.

		F	iv	Vena Lois WHITING was born 1899. She died 1970.
		M	v	Roy Q WHITING was born 9 Sep 1889 in California. He died 27 Feb 1975 in Ventura, California.
